What is Send?
Send is a peer-to-peer money app for the web, iOS and Android. You sign up with a passkey, get a Sendtag, and send money to people by their /username. Your Send Account is an onchain account on the Base network.
Do I need a password or a seed phrase?
No. Send uses passkeys: trusted devices authorized to sign your account’s transactions. Your account is protected by your device and authorized only by you, and you can add up to 20 passkeys.
What is a Sendtag?
A Sendtag is your unique username on Send, like /maya. People send to your Sendtag instead of a long wallet address. You can register up to 5 Sendtags; they are priced by length, and the shorter the Sendtag, the more it costs.
How do I add money to Send?
Deposit from an external crypto wallet on the Base network, or transfer from your Coinbase account.
Can I send money to someone who is not on Send?
Yes. Send Link lets you send crypto to anyone using a shareable link, no wallet address needed. If the link is not claimed, you can cancel it to get your funds back.
Can a transfer be reversed?
No. Transfers can’t be reversed once sent, so check the Sendtag before you confirm. Anyone can register any Sendtag, so Send warns you the first time you send to one and when an account has been flagged as a potential imposter.
